Digital Data Resources

This page contains data in GIS and tabular forms for a variety of water related sites. This includes watershed files, digital elevation maps, land use data, and water quality data. The web site name is followed by a brief description of the information that can be obtained from the page.

GeoData.gov, U.S. Maps and Data - Clearinghouse for digital data in the United States.

National Climatic Data Center, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) - Archival information regarding the climate.

National Weather and Climate Center, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) - Provides links to water reservoir information, snow pack forcasts, soil water forcasts, and other climatic products.

Products and Services, USDA NRCS - Provides links to downloads of digital elevation data, soils information, orthophotos, and climatic data. For even more data the Geospatial Data Gateway provides a user friendly service for downloading natural resources and environmental data.

Water Data, USGS- Includes real time flow data as well as site information, surface water, ground water, and water quality data available in tabular and graphical output.
